Psychological Assistant, Supervised By Dr. Andrea Zorbas

Recent events have left many of us feeling much more afraid, anxious, overwhelmed, and depressed than usual. Sharing your concerns and fears with a therapist can help you work through your feelings and give you strategies to enable you to cope better to live the life you want.

My clinical approach is to ensure that you are validated, understood, and heard in a non-judgmental manner. To achieve this, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is adapted to your preferences (either highly structured or flexible depending on your needs) to help you to meet your goals. Not only is the therapeutic space a place for you to fully express your emotions, but also for you to gain insight about your challenges, and to build coping skills and strategies to manage symptoms.

Having spent over a decade working in the high stress environment of Silicon Valley, my interests lie in assisting working professionals to have a healthy work life balance. My aims are to help them manage and cope with the associated stressors that can arise in multiple areas of their lives.

 PERSONAL

I am a native San Franciscan and first generation Chinese American. I have provided services in both English and Cantonese, while serving a wide range of diverse clients.

After previously working as an engineer in the tech industry (from startups to large corporations), I transitioned and immersed myself extensively in the field of psychology (within community mental health, forensics, neuropsychology, inpatient, outpatient settings). First I trained in Marriage & Family Therapy, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking long trails, biking, running, and relaxing at the beach. I also love to traveling, and especially visiting the state and national parks.
