Arlena Kroliczek, Psy.D.

LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

The process of therapy begins with establishing a sense of trust and safety wherein individuals can explore themselves and how they came to be who they are. In understanding our individual strengths, and vulnerabilities we can gain and challenge our capacity for change, acceptance, and growth as an individual. I am passionate in empowering my clients in making intentional choices to improve overall wellness. I have a direct, solution-oriented approach, which aids individuals in addressing problematic behaviors and thought processes which are negatively impacting their life. Ultimately, I guide my clients to building resiliency and adaptive skills to cope with challenges and pains which naturally come throughout life.

My style is warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and direct. I believe a strong, trusting, collaborative relationship with one's therapist is vital to realizing change and experiencing growth. I have a flexible and integrative approach which aims to develop insight and understanding, while also fostering change. I have extensive training and experience working with adults that struggle with relationship issues, difficult family dynamics, conflict at work, stress management, anxiety, depression, unwanted coping behaviors, self-care strategies, substance use, and trauma recovery work. I take particular care in tailoring interventions to meet an individual's needs. My approach is based in evidence-based practices and I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.

It takes courage and integrity to admit when something feels out of place and even more to ask for help. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
